I'm growing bamboo, a variety of specie. One of is the fence line bamboo.
I got much of my info from these guys in CM

If you have the time, Yaso....you might experiment with assorted varieties of bamboo - start several side plots to see which one might fit your liking and design plans.
There are thousands varieties of bamboo, most of which will propagate well here in Siam, for a score of uses.

A trench along both sides of a row of newly planted bamboo will stop it from spreading across to the fields on either side of the row.
Bamboo's a surface feeder, won't grow more than 2 ft or so or so deep, nor through a water filled trench.

This prolly requires hard plastic fencing up to 70cm deep to avoid the wild propagating...
