    # 36.86 baht per kg yesterday at auction, Udon, kee yang. Worst price in 3 seasons tapping.
    # Best fortnight production figures we've ever had, 1311 kgs kee yang, 2400 trees, 8-9 years old.
    # missus got 63k for 25 rai from the govnt fertiliser subsidy in her bank yesterday.
    # So some crappy news and some decent news.

    Matt,
read the post again. Properly. Fortnight's production. Auctions are Fortnightly. 9 taps in a fortnight, ie 146.6 kgs per tapping session.

nice to know someone has received the subsidy..thought it would go the way of the first car subsidy..ie a select few only.
...still waiting for our 63k fertiliser subsidy...anyone else got it yet?

Haven't found a supplier in Thailand, not unusual, can't find any thing on line here, but China seems to make them. No pictures, so it maybe something totally different.

Didn't get time to watch the video in town today, but when I get to see it will e mail the designer to get the info. Jim
Sounds very interesting Jim. Would like to know more and try it some of our trees.

Thieving, scamming, slimey handed corruptionistas have been at it again. Missus (and everybody else) just had to pay the local Poo Yai Ban and Obor Tor 3k from their 63k for "helping" them sort it out. Still, 60k is better than a kick in the teeth, and... ya gotta keep in with your local village headman... Mine is actually a really good bloke.

Of Course I do not claim to know anything about Rubber, but I wonder if its over production, as 10 years ago there was hardly any rubber, now there are thousands of rai every where , what do you think?

Slight current oversupply, due to world economy not needing as much as 3-4 years ago. If China and the West don't pick up, it will get worse in 3-4 years time when millions of new rai come on tap in SE Asia.

Yeah I forgot to add that there is quite a lot of Young trees here that are not in production yet ,but as you say in 3 or 4 years time they will be ,I suppose all you'll have to do Guzzi is stick at it and hope for the best, and in this I wish you and all the other Rubber farmers who are in the same boat the very best of luck for the future

No probs Matt, it would appear the rubber job is hard enough as it is without having sick plants to contend with, best of luck.
