Stop horsing around
We was in Cambridge City centre Sunday and at the market they were selling Ostrich burgers like hot cakes ,, £3.50 for the basic burger , I must admit they looked very good about 1" thick handmade burgers in a nice big bap roll.
As nice as they looked not really being into burgers of any kind we opted for the fresh salmon + prawn salad
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
Looks like someone in Europe tested out that horse option
Thai beef doesn't taste like real beef anyway so no need to look for a beef alternative. Just make sure you buy Thai beef.
Squirrel is very nice.
so is rat
or guinea pig
There is good beef in Thailand. Its all about where you get it from. There are different classifications as to quality, just as there is in the UK, US and Japan. Do you want prime, choice, select or just a teenage cow? Get what you pay for. Its all about the marbling of fat in the meat. More marbling equals better beef. In the US, Kobi beef steaks sell for over $25/pound. Select steaks are approx $6/pound.
I've heard that horse makes an excellent substitute for beef.
It did in Europe not long agoOriginally Posted by Albert Shagnastier

Rat is the poor man's chicken.
Taste very similar.
And guinea pig is the traditional dish of Ecuador.
I wanted to try but that day the police confiscated my rented car...

Camel meat is quite nice looks like beef only thing gives it away is the grain large gaps then beef when cooked.
Had a LLama steak in south America before. Was tasty alright and texture like beef steak. Suppose would be similar animal to camel ?
Think they have abattoirs in Australia especially for wild feral Camel. Not sure where they have market for the meat. It might be shipped to USA ?
Nope, camel is not shipped to the US. Goat meat is. Maybe some ostrich or emus. But not camel. Can't even eat a horse here. Which is quite strange. Until recently, slaughtering a horse was illegal. Cruelty to animals is what the bleeding hearts said. So, it was better to let the poor bastards starve to death in the pasture? Thankfully, that law was changed. Still don't eat it here. Export it to Belgium and France.
