| Copping away Sathorn Road 1979 The 300-odd that adorned Sathorn Rd. were removed to make way for the construction of the Sathorn Bridge. 150 were saved to be transplanted at this locale after construction completion. The decision to take the trees was highly debated and controversial within the community in March/April of 1979. During it's day, Sathorn Road was verdant with canopied greenery.
