Note of interest....dress, hairstyle, and customs were not of the integrated Siamese period - as was the case regarding numerous [local] regions of 1860s Siam.

In which the Siamese regained Trat and Chanthaburi provinces for exchange of giving up three Cambodian border provinces that they occupied and held during the long Franco-Siamese wars.
^The same photo was in Post #5110 labelled Yet, another street car line dedication of 1893 Bangkok
There are some sources that date it as 1905, but my memory of Bangkok trams is a bit foggy. The picture is reported to be King Rama V going for a spin on the completion of the Red Line near Dusit Palace.
Nephew of Phraya Khomfan, the third ruling generation of the Chiang Mai Kingdom....under the tributary state of Siam.
Taken by the well known royal photographer, Francis Chit.
That picture #5110 is correct, I was quoting that (perhaps not correctly appeared).
However, that same picture I saw on page 137 #3423 was described as Lampang: (I see now the "Lampang" was correct for the first picture, not to the other two pictures that had only the year):
Lampang of yesteryear....

Sorry. That original post was my grave mistake, as I've been to known to retain from time to time.
Number one is Lampang. Two and Three are Bangkok.
The matching years remain the same.
Apologies extended.
