Seasoned correctly, they make for great grilling alternatives.

Finished work late and have to pack myself for trip to Blighty. Wife normally has it all done but I let her stay at home in Isaan...got to do it all myself...yikes!

I just know I'm gonna forget something, early, early flight and I still haven't done the washing ...

Bed beckons and happy moaning to follow.

Not sure what I've forgotten to pack yet but I left my mobile in the security basket. Lucky for me I noticed in time and lady had a laugh handing it back

NIce, I keep losing books almost every time I fly. Keep leaving them in the pocket in the seat in front - bloody frustrating when you've got a good way into one - that's a retrospective moan and a forecast one for next week bye the bye.

Bad day in my town yesterday. School service van on the way down the Star Tollway at 0645, heading to my kids' school, blew a front tire. Nose dug in, van flipped and sailed through the air, then rolled several times. Driver and two senior High School kids killed, two teachers, a parent, and eight other students critical. A sad day at the kids' school.

^Thanks. It's a huge school, thousands and thousands of kids, so my kids didn't know any of those in the accident. Still, a very sad day. Shows you how fast, and randomly, it can all go to shit. It's a dead straight, lightly traveled road, but when there are wrecks on it, they are usually horrendous.....almost always the result of a blown front tire.

^ certainly... a lot of tragedies seem to happen before Xmas as well.
Wishing you a Merry one mate, unlike the poor families of some of those on the bus.

My thoughts exactly. The older I get, the more often I consider myself fortunate to have made it through another day.

RIP to the deceased. I hope all the injured make a quick and full recovery.

After reading Davis’s post, I’ve decided I have nothing to moan about. My life is just fine thank you.

    RIP for the lost ones.

    ^ Yep! that was tragic...

    Mine's just a standard moan...

...another two of those Mr Bean moments (why do I have so many of them?)

First I lose my file containing all the most important documents, you know like birth certificate, marriage certificate, proof of residency etc. etc. I had taken it to work when I was moving house in September and brought it back home in November. Pretty sure I took it to the UK a couple of weeks ago to help with some banking arrangements but ended up closing the accounts instead. I need the docs for my Type-O Thai visa for my trip tomorrow. I can't find them and after a week of looking ended up going for a 60-day Tourist-visa instead. No big deal but I'm going to need this stuff next year, especially if Brexit turns to hell...turn over new apartment and call all hotels but to no avail. Took 2 days sick last week and spent them and the week-end looking for them but failed. Turn up at work today and the folder was on my desk. It was found next to the admin's PC where I suddenly recalled putting it while I sorted out my bag...I never took it home in the first place, let alone take it to the UK....

Next one was one of those shopping moments that makes my wife hate shopping with me...although I was alone. A nice stand with toothbrushes in the supermarket. I didn't need a toothbrush but noticed one was slightly askew and in danger of falling off. I went to straighten it and the metal bar it was attached to fell off, along with 4 other toothbrushes. I picked them up and tried to put the metal bar back in but in doing so another metal bar fell out and 5 or six more toothbrushes fell on the floor. I gently placed the toothbrushes across a few of the bars and walked away, just in time, as the whole stand fell over...

Your first story reminds me of searching for car keys. Having left the house looking like it had been ransacked by burglars, I found them in the fridge, where I had inadvertently placed them while putting shopping away!
First place I look for missing items now.
