Thanks VN, weirdly this week i know of two other work colleagues also having their Wisdom teeth out, must be the season. This will be my third ever extraction, the first when i as a nipper had the lady dentist with one knee on me chest yanking the fukin thing out - don't want a repeat of that, especially as its a bloke.

My brother used to be a dentist. You won't feel a thing other than the tug on your wallet.

I generally detest dentists. Needed something done a while ago (forget what now), and needed an injection through the roof of my mouth. Fucker told me it would be like an "ant bite" then shoved the needle it. I swear to hell I lifted 10 cm of the chair.

Needed the same injection a few years later, and I was very, very reluctant - lady dentist told me she "knew the trick", and man did she - hardly felt the injection at all.

Pretty much will only go with female dentists now.

Reminds me of my Uncle in national service. Queued waiting along with a load of others outside the Army Dentists waiting room. The nurse was working her way along the line giving injections and he turned to watch the bloke before him, got squirted in the eye caused she'd shoved it through his cheek. My uncle legged it. He alway had false teeth though as i recall.

Not all dentists/oral surgeons have the same technique or training as such applies to needle or surgical procedures.
Luckily, you've found yourself one that has a gentle and knowledgeable technique, as many can be rough and quite indifferent to what their doing - oblivious to the innate fear that most of us have regarding dental procedures.

My grandfather was a dentist. As a child following inoculations at the local clinic I would scream at the sight of anyone in a white coat. Including my grandfather.

Later on I would use the false teeth equipment for polishing coins. grinding false teeth, doing sculpture with acrylic stuff.

^Friday night drinking out, you'll probably get the rest taken out, if you wind people up in real life like you do on here

My moan is I'm on a dizzy detox and feel detached from reality.

    Quite enjoying it

I'm just misinterpreted. Anyhow, my curfew and exclusion zone prevents me from going out after 6pm and within 100m of an establishment serving alcohol - ave a Chitty get on it nanna

^^^ Ended up with a liter of Black label next to me bed for 5 days.

Main Mrs gave up the sympathy when I started making love to it on Day 2.

Dentist put me on antibiotics at the same time as I picked up the JWB. I'm not entirely sure that she was licensed to pass out antibiotics, but the 7-11 staff would have given them if she didn't.

Was either antibiotics and Main Mrs waiting on me hand and foot, or a liter of Black Label being slugged, swirled and gargled neat.

Not sure why she got the hump, to be honest.

OK,for the pain my dentist gave Ponstan 500. It' a Pfizer produced drug.
I haven't taken any yet. It's uncomfortable ...sure, but I resist taking drugs uunl4ss absoloutly necessary.
But, if you are in pain, Ponstan 500 is the go.

For the no blood infection, was given Amoxicillin 500mg

Importantly you should be using a mouth wash to reduce the chance of infection untill the gum wound seals over.

Christ, I got a surprise, the Bill was £21 but the downside is no hot Thai nurse, no pain killers (take bruphen and para was the advice) and no AntiBi's - just a leaflet and some pads to soak up the blood.

Not bleeding now and not hurting, Omelette for breckie and normal beer and wine service to resume later.

Well mine had three roots and one was weirdly curved like a hook, much crunching and wrenching and fishing out bits - i dare say it'll all come home to roost tomorrow once the alcohol wears off.

I hear swilling alcohol helps to ease the sore bits, and if that doesn't work a few swigs might put you out.

Got told to avoid it yesterday to avoid opening up the blood clot, that great invention the straw saw me navigate that particular piece of advice - drinking with me face tilted today, well will be later. as soon as my version of the Yard Arm, Football Focus comes on BBC
