Oh man, my mood is getting worse the closer I come to having to go back to Myanmar. Everything in Thailand just works and I love it- being able to speak the local lingo, while my Myanmar isn't the worst it could be a lot better, but Thai is just easier for me. I feel healthier here, not looking forward to go back to a land of almost uniformly awful food.

...the same feeling overcame me as I prepared to return to the Gulf after vacations in the swamp...the only antidote (for me anyway) was to immediately begin planning for my next holiday in LOS...

I rarely have anything to moan about but today I will add this moan.

I got a repo that contained some latin and my latin isn't good enough without using Google translate.

    "please reciperate"

I would say "Go on...tell who is repo whoring", but I actually consider repo comments as private messages, so I shouldn't urge you to expose this Lulu multi pretending to be dumb and trying to build up repo power for Lulu's repo circle jerk.

....well I got that wrong. Just saw who also got a repo with "please reciporate". (Pseudolus)

Or is this a Freudian slip....Pseudo is Nev???

Being given the run around on obtaining police clearance from Myanmar. Not really shocked about that, glad I started the process this early.
    It's also too bloody cold!

Don't really get the expat love in for cool season. More mosquitoes, dust, pollution worse and it gets fecking cold at night up in the mountains- puts me right off weekend escapes.

Dunked for the precise amount of time it takes to soften but not to crumble and fall into your cup.
There's a knack to it, but worth acquiring.

As I'm not a foreign resident here in Myanmar, I can't get police clearance. I really hope that this is not going to be an issue for the next job. Stressed already 555

Sarcasm doesn't work here. At my local BigC Supermarket I went to the service desk and asked for a form for their Members card.Service Girl: you want a BigC members card?Me: [look to the heavens] No I want a Tops supermarket Members Card! She: Oh! You have to go to Tops for that!Me: cue, rolling eyes.

    ^ hard work aint they?

This bloke was telling me about his trip to the dealership to buy his wife a car, where hed saw 0% interest but apparently you have to pay a
    60,000 baht charge for it.

So he asked if he got a discount if he paid cash

She said Yes, you dont have to pay the 60,000 baht interest charge

Another birthday! That's good, I guess.....but I can remember (kind of) when 69 meant something to me other than another step towards the grave....
