I need to sleep.... was playing Pusoy Dos, a flipper poker game (a variation of big-two and a shedding card game) from 7PM last night til 5 AM this morning. Was trying to raise funds for my Kumare who's son died. All that effort and I only made her 3000 pesos. Phuck! Not going back tonight. Its easier to just write a check.
I am so unlucky that if I fall into a barrel full of D*ick**s, I'd come out sucking my own thumb!

Ahhh well, it had to happen. Nobody expected it so soon, though. My 96 year old grandad passed away last night after a stroke, which he seemed to recover from, but the pneumonia got him. Everyone expected him to reach the century.
I'm overcome. I loved him as much as a grandson can love a grandad...such a kind, witty, strong man, right until his last days.
    Off to NZ tomorrow.

Rain, rain, rain at the moment. All work permits canceled, roads starting to flood, etc. Hard to believe this is Rayong in early January..

3 dogs brought me off me bike. Did the owners accept responsibility? Nah, just denied the dogs belonged to them. Did the owners help get me off the road. Nah, just sat there as if fcuk all happened. Missus comes to pick me up. She speaks with the woman. Woman wants to know why I get angry and shout at her. Husband claims he tried to help me. Yeah he just picked up my tail light and gave it to me. The woman claims it was my own fault for trying to hit the dogs with a stick.
Bike's a write off. Asked the missus to go report incident to the police. She wouldn't as it would get nowhere. I'm fcuking irate. I thing I've popped a couple of ribs and received a few grazes. Luckily for me there wasn't a car following me up.
Sometimes I hate fcuking Thais and Thailand.

Perhaps some wheel scythes on the new bike, like they had on chariots in Ben Hur ?

Must've been a bit of a prang. Written off ? Bend the frame ?

On the plus side that's a fair innings the old boy's had and, judging from your fishing thread, if he's anything like you, hell be taking some fine memories with him.

Wife got (another) new smart phone today. Must have four now. But, it was free. With all the cellphone accounts we have in this house, one service provider or another is giving her a new free phone every few months it seems. Oh well, whatever floats her boat.

My Nokia dumb phone is now on about its 15th year of faithful service.

That's a good innings. Original battery? If so, that's impressive.

Clearly your fault. If you were in your home country, this wouldn't have happened.

Don't make me wish. My ribs are fcuking painful. 15,000 Baht out of pocket unless I can find someone to repair the fooking bike. Same thing a few months back when I collided with a motorcyclist. I'm the innocent party but I end out of pocket.

    Sorry to hear.

I'm always dodging the buggers round the Farm.

What sort of bike? Like a Honda Wave or a Big Bike?

... and the worst bit are the ribs.

    Get well soon ...

I'm pretty sure it's a push bike, otherwise he could have put his feet above the handlebars and made a hasty getaway

Push bike is what I have/had. I won't touch a motorcycle for love nor money here in Ting Tong Land. It's the second time I've been brought down in 2 years by dogs. What I don't understand is that I've been cycling past these particular dogs for those 2 yeays and they've never attacked before. Thanks for the 'get well soon'. Will be out again as soon as the bikes repaired or replaced. Never let hardships deter.

Steel toe-capped boots is what you need, Pragmatic. The dogs will love you long time after they discover the sensation of firm steel in their ribs or under their jaw.

What I fail to understand is that if I cause harm or suffering to an animal I can be prosecuted. But if an animal causes me to get injured due to neglect by its owner then there's fook all one can do about it. Legally that is. The place is a bollix.
