30-day Visa Report Have any laws changed since our last visit concerning reporting to local gendarme' about a stay in the village for the 30-days? Is it necessary? It has been three years since the last visit, so am inquiring if any laws have changed.

Quite a few of us live in villages, but have never had to do this. It may be worthwhile popping down there and saying 'hi' upon your arrival, as small village police probably like to do it the old fashioned way and it won't do any harm.

Never heard of a 30 day report. Technically all aliens must report any change of their address within 24 hours to stay legal. This law has never been enforced and I do not know of anyone who has had trouble due to not reporting
