Damarios, can you expand on the "we"

If you have a thai wife then you have more options on the business side.

damaros:

by the op it sounds as if you have not visited thailand before.

i think that you are jumping the gun.

best thing to do is read some of the many pages of info on this forum, which outline some of the pitfalls (there are many), first.
then visit the place for a holiday a couple of times.
if you then decide you would really like to stay, do more research and make sure you will be able to get the best visa, or at least one that will allow you to stay longer term.

do NOT buy a business.
do NOT burn your bridges or sell you properties.
do NOT make any rushed decisions: stay for a year and get an idea of what the place is REALLY like, and only THEN, make the decision that would either enhance, or destroy your life.

jaysus, it only costs a couple of hundred dollars to leave the country and come back, if you've got money to buy a few businesses it shouldnt be an issue.

Certainly beats trying to rush a sale and permit etc.

Get the Tourist visa. 240 Rand. You can see on the web site what documents you require. Good luck and enjoy your stay.
