Treaty of Amity and Economic Relations -UPDATE

If you are at all interested, please note the contents of the following email from the Commercial Service, US Embassy:

Quote:
Dear Sirs/Madams,

Please see below message from our Commercial Counselor regarding the Treaty of Amity and Economic Relations:

"As of March 6, the Ministry of Commerce resumed the processing of registrations under the Treaty of Amity and Economic Relations. The Commercial Section of the Embassy is therefore accepting registration processing as well. The agreement with the MOC is renewable in three month increments, so we strongly advise anyone who wants to register under the Treaty to do so with that in mind. Contact the Commercial Section of the US Embassy at 02-205- 5090 with any questions."

Regards,

Kritsananan Setasuvarna

So the treaty still holds? Renewable at 3 mo intervals... So big changes if they every decide to not renew but no changes if they do renew. Am I understanding correctly? Then the much ballyhoooed rescinding of the agreement was a smoke screen for the opponents of he treaty???
So I can still setup a fully us owned corp here?
not that i'd want to.
