    Recommendations for Company Lawyer

My situation is that I set up a Company with a small local lawyer some 5 years ago. I dont know if this the best thing to have done in hindsight. Since then, I have purchased land, made significant improvements (house etc.), purchased a car.

The main reason was to "protect myself" against my girl puling the pin and leaving me with nothing to show.

Anyway, moving to the present, we are now married and spend a lot of our time living abroad. My lawyer is damned difficult to deal with as she is a "one woman show" with other business interests. She has not filed any annual paperwork / tax returns (no income) for 2 years and my wife has received a letter this morning to attend the police station to explain why.

    Should I change lawyers?

Should I just transfer the Chanote into her name? The car is also in Company name also, transfer? And close down the Company?

Thanks for any advise, no need for flaming

Thanks Chico, had a look at the Website. Have you had dealings with them? I will be talking to my lawyer (finally) this afternoon, I think I will be changing to another law firm to tidy things up. Just wanting any recommendations from members.

know of people who have, and mostly positive feedback.

He was somewhat controversial years back on social media, though believe he knows his job.

I am not a lawyer/solicitor - accountant. My experience was that a corporate trustee with a discretionary trust sitting beneath provided the best of all worlds.
    This was in Australia.

Out of curiosity, what is the minimum a Thai needs to set up a company?
(i.e.: a Thai spouse who is living and working outside of Thailand and getting decent pay and wants to lay some foundations for the future back in Thailand).

All good, Sebastien at Issan Lawyers got the job done. It was a real mess, created by my previous lawyer who lost interest in being a lawyer and didn't do her job. Lesson learned, paid the price.

Glad to hear you made out well. You must be very careful with some of these lawyers here.
