This site may help ... Transfer money in and outside of Thailand

Sounds to me if you haven't got the correct paper work to prove how much money you brought into Thailand then just move your money about into various Thai Banks and send it out a bit at a time

You need a document from the land office certifying that the money is from a real estate transaction to present to the bank when transferring the funds out of Thailand.

You might also need the documentation you recieved from the bank in Thailand when the money was first brought here.

At that time you should have been issued a certificate from the bank stating the amount of the transfer and that it was to be used for purchase of a house or condo.

Good stuff...thanks folks. In my case money accumulated over time and it was only later that I had decided to buy.

I am afraid you have no chance of moving a lump sum if you do not have the paper work to show you bought it into the country and the banks will not delve back into their records for you as I have just found out.
