| The Dog | Scuba Diving in Pattaya Reviews More info here Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Hardeep, a wreck dive. Location: Samae-san / Sattahip area, Thailand Description: WW2 Cargo ship Length: 60 metres (200 feet) Depth: 30 metres (100 feet) Visibility: 10 - 15 metres (30 - 50 feet) Rating: **** A great shipwreck to go and visit. Moray eels, batfish, parrotfish, stingrays, cuttlefish and a vast array of different fish are seen. The best site in Samae-san. Anthony, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Khram Location: Pattaya, Thailand Description: Shipwreck Length: 90 metres (295 feet) Depth: 30 metres (100 feet) Visibility: Variable: 5 - 15 metres (15 - 50 feet) Rating: **** Ex-navy vessel sank especially for diving. Located about 45 mins boat ride out of Pattaya. You can do wreck penetrations - side corridors and go up the tower. There is an air pocket in the tower worth taking a look at - but don't breathe the air!! Anthony, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Koh Chuang Location: Samae-san / Sattahip area, Thailand Description: Small cove Length: 150 metres (500 feet) Depth: 20 metres (65 feet) Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet) Rating: *** There is a spot off the southern end of Koh Chuang which is definitely worth exploring. You can dive down the rock face to around 20m - here there are stingray, moray eels, as well as giant pufferfish and blue pufferfish. A nice little spot!! Anthony, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Koh Krok Location: Pattaya, Thailand Description: Coral wall spanning one side of a small island Length: 800 metres (2600 feet) Depth: 15 metres (50 feet) Visibility: 5 - 15 metres (15 - 50 feet) Rating: *** This site is great for a drift dive or a night dive. I spotted some catfish there last time. Watch out for the stonefish, but it's a great drift location. Anthony, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Koh Lan Vac Location: Pattaya, Thailand Description: Shallow reef Depth: 11 metres max (36 feet) Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet) Rating: *** Visit the underwater concrete rings then follow shallow reef southwards. Stationary seahorses at 9m (max depth 11m). Please be careful when ascending... it's useful to carry a safety balloon as the nearby jetski station is a hindrance. Anthony C, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Koh Man Witchai Location: Pattaya, Thailand Description: Reef / drift Depth: 20 metres max (65 feet) Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet) Rating: *** Excellent spot for a drift dive with clear waters and masses of barracuda and fish life. Occasional bamboo and nurse sharks at lower levels. Anthony C, OWSI ![]() Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Koh Rin Location: Pattaya Islands, Thailand Description: Granite rock Depth: 20 metres max (65 feet) at North Rock, 16 metres max (52 feet) at South Rock Visibility: 10 - 15 metres (30 - 50 feet) Rating: *** The North Rock is a great site off Pattaya. You can circumnavigate the granite rock, taking approximately one hour on air. The best section is a coral wall which goes down to 17m. Sealife: turtles, moray eels, porcupinefish, batfish, barracuda and nurse sharks and the occasional bamboo shark. A giant pufferfish was spotted here on one of my dives.. wow !!! Pity I didnt have a camera! At South Rock circumnavigate the rocky outcrop. The wall on the south side drops down to 16m. Parrotfish and stingray are present, barracuda too. Anthony Carnell, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Koh Sak Location: Pattaya, Thailand Description: Shallow bay Depth: 15 metres max (50 feet) Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet) Rating: *** A shallow bay useful for beginner divers. The eastern side has concrete cubes at exactly 10m deep (southward facing) and divers can do a great one-way drift dive hopping along from cube to cube. Max depth 15m on the east side. Anthony C, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Lam Tong Location: Koh Lan, Pattaya, Thailand Description: Reef Depth: 25 metres (80 feet) Visibility: 5 - 15 metres (15 - 50 feet) Rating: *** A nice coral site worth exploring for divers near Bangkok to go and dive at weekends. You see everything from soft corals to turtles, stingrays, sand rays and barracuda. A nice leisurely dive. There are nurse sharks and the occasional bamboo shark down at the lower depths. Anthony, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Saxophone Bay Location: Koh Lan, Pattaya, Thailand Description: Shallow bay Depth: 11 metres max (36 feet) Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet) Rating: *** A great little bay for turtle lovers with a shallow zone down to 11m max. Lots of small fish and brain corals. Watch out for stonefish! Anthony C, OWSI Scuba Diving Pattaya, Thailand Reader Reviews: Dive Site: Sharkfin Rock Location: Samae-san, Pattaya, Thailand Description: Reef Depth: 22 metres max on the south tip (72 feet) Visibility: 5 - 20 metres (15 - 65 feet) Rating: *** Great dive down in Samae-san. A thin spine of coral heading both north and south, the south finger is best. Saw a blue pufferfish here recently, and an eagle ray. Manta rays are scarce as are blacktip reef, but you see the sharks on occasion. The coral wall on the west side is worth looking at. Anthony C, OWSI
