    LPG conversions for small engines

We are currently running a baby (2kVA) genset during our flood enforced power outage (3 weeks now). The genset is petrol rather than my preferred (and safer) diesel, but since 'er indoors got it for a good price I'm not complaining.

Rather than keep lots of petrol around I'd like to convert the beastie to run on LPG, apart from being somewhat cheaper it also keeps indefinitely and is far safer to store.

There is an outfit in the UK that supplies conversion kits Edge Technology - LPG Gas conversion kits. but of course it would be much better to obtain locally.

Anybody seen such kits in Thailand, northern BKK preferable?

    No sorry can not help.
But in my area I have seen a person with a small gas bottle on the of his motor cycle & would open the valve for the gas to control his speed.

obviously a lot of taxis have the conversion, so it might be worth finding out where they get done

Finding car conversions is not an issue, easy even. The problem is that car kits are significantly more complex and expensive than the simple methods required for small (<20hp) engines.

The places I would expect to find such kits like the local farmers outlet seem to think I've grown two heads when suggesting that you can run these little engines on LPG.
