Hi Dr.Andy i'm interested in the remaining one but it would have to wait till middle of december since i'm not in CM right now. So if you still have it by then I could swing by and take it if your shoulders.
Ok Erich, send me a message and we can keep in contact
PM sent to you
Kermit also expressed an interest, so...
The large one is still available; a couple of people have expressed interest but no confirmation so.....
B15K is a bargain for these systems, snap it up!!
the show goes on
anyone interested in the large 300L one?
Erich chickened out when he saw it, not sure why
Was it because you denied him head priest of the solar secrets association of chiangmai?
no, more likely his truck wasn't big enough
How big is it? if it wont fit in a truck?
bloody hell Ben, if you can't spot a metaphor at ten paces, you are doomed
he took a look at all the bits and chickened out, it is not assembled although I have diagrams to help
If there was a metaphor there, i could spot it, if you had said he thought he was going to have to build the space station equivalent, i could see your metaphor at play. When you said his truck wasnt big enough, it has more in common with a simile then a metaphor, but semantics are not important here Doctor, i jokingly replied to mean he must have a very small truck(like this it was a dry unfunny attempt at a joke). I could have linked his truck being small to mean he was to wimpy to take it, or he was nervous of the size of the task, but this implied metaphor is far fetched and hard to construct.
Sorry what were we talking about..........
Does it come as a plate, separate copper pipe etc or is some of it actaully already fitted together?
Im still looking for something for the guesthouse, but 300li might be too big, no metaphor.
im hot its so hot today.......milk was a bad choice!
I think you haven't read the thread properly
it comes as the tank, about 2+metres long, the glass tubes, about 2m long, and the stainless steel support (in pieces but with a diagram for easy installation
oh, and a small header tank and enough silicon seals to get it all up and working
I have reported your post
I think i was getting confused with what you had somewhere else the plates with pipe inside, the old style. If its the tube kind, i indeed might give it a whirl. Do you know who its from, made by? can i get replacement tubes from them(i have no idea if they are generic across brand).
Do you know or can roughly estimate weight?
Thanks
I have the contact where they came from, he can supply tubes and any fittings as well as the anode rods, if required
No label of maker, sorry
weight...easy lift of the tank for two people so maybe 25kg
the base of stainless steel is light, around 15kg
the tubes are all about 2kg each approx
as it is in bits, it is easy to lift and put in a truck
still available
roll up, roll up, get yourself a bargain
you know you want it
the wonderful water heater is still for sale
lots of false promises but no firm buyer
come on, you know you want it!
thought I would bump this thread as the big 300L tank is still in storage and I thought it was about time to get rid of it
The support frame is stainless steel, as is the tank
the glass tubes just fit in; there are a couple spare just in case
I could be tempted, but am currently in the USA. And, if I recall, you are up by Chiang Mai, so am not sure how to get it down to our house build in Nakhom Pathom.
back of a pickup, same way as I brought them from Bkk!
Sold yet ?
Mark
PS I am in Jomtien, but building near Renu Nakon, anw will be back in Issan before X-mas.
sorry, sold it a couple of weeks ago
bargain
For what its worth, you can buy those solar hot water glass tubes on ebay, direct from China.
Search on "solar hot water tube"
or
solar hot water tube | eBay
Regards .......
Good to hear you sold it. This type of solar heating really is great as there are no pumps and full water pressure can be used.
^ as long as you can situate the thing well above where the water is needed
i.e. on the roof
