Jinjocks versus airconditioning - protecting the external and internal units.

Allegedly a jincock short fused my external inverter air conditioning unit.
To save this from happening again, at a considerable cost, has anybody devised some kind of protection, that still leaves an adequate free flow of air circulation around the unit?

This happened to my outside unit some years ago , a chichok comited suicide on the connections of a capacitor for the motor . I have not done anything about it just make sure the electrical parts are shealded but a screen over box may restrict the flow of air.
