    Termite shield like termimesh

A layer of stainless steel mesh to create a termite barrier beneath the floor. It sounds too good to be true. Too simple and elegant of a solution to work. No spraying needed, no poisons, no annual maintenance, do it once and forget about it. Anyone have experiences or insights into this? Any suppliers in Thailand? Pricing?

    It does not stop termites.

The Termimesh termite barrier is designed and installed to force termites to expose themselves in their mud-tubes on the outside of the house (bridging) where they can be detected with a termite inspection.
That being said it needs to be done by a "trusted' installer.

When in Rome... put pipes under the house and spray.

Termites are invading part of our kitchen. they nested behind a cupboard that holds loads of cooking ware.

The Pesterminator told us to unload cupboard as it might fall suddenly from wall any given time.

We should not disturb those termite, like scratch then away from wall, they would go wild and spread to other place...

Next week treating all the house, around 5K Thb, and they come 4 times in the year to reinspect...

With termite it is important to catch the Queen to exterminate, i've heard...

It forms an inpenetrable barrier so they cannot access the house from the inside

if they try to get in from the outside then their tunnels are obvious

they use it a lot in Aussie with success

I have recently bought a newish poison that does not deter the beasties, like the one they pump in

they crawl over it and take it back to the nest and it eventually kills the queen and wipes out the colony
    I have reported your post

    this is good

Termidor Termiticide has an irrefutable track record for effective termite control. The active ingredient in Termidor works unlike any other pesticide. Instead of a repellant that also kills termites, fipronil is a non-repellent termite poison. A 100% effective pest exterminator not detected by termites until its lethal power is unleashed.
Fipronil pesticide begins to work the moment termites come in contact with it. Because the killing power in fipronil remains undetected by termites until it is too late, they ingest it. They also carry it back to the colony as food - where other termites become contaminated; ingest it, and die.

there are similar products around, all fairly expensive

the main problem is getting hold of it as many states will not allow it in, and posting abroad is often problematical

I found it on Amazon US, but after ordering it, when I reached the posting bit a message appeared saying they could not send it to me

but keep checking the different suppliers, someone will

    another cheaper version is

Termidor comes at a premium price due to the large-scale research, development and efficacy testing costs in bringing it to the market place.
The main competition product Premise has similar attributes but is sold as the "lower cost effective alternative". Premise has been used for termite control for more than eight years and is well proven to offer highly effective termite protection.
In any case, the cost of a Termidor or Premise soil treatment and monitoring program will vary depending on the size and design of the subject building, the extent of the infestation, the risk of further attack and on-going termite act ivity and other environmental factors.

I bought from here, as they would ship it
