Thai House Plans - 130,000baht House

This Thai house is probably more suited to your maid or gardener, could probably get it built for less than 150,000baht, just 1 room and 1 bathroom, the rest is outside area.

You can download the full set of plans for this building here Cheap Thai House Plans 1.zip

Would be a great pond side place to hang out and fish off the porch. I know a guy looking for just such a place.

Couldn't you also buld it a bit higher up on the poles, and put in concrete walls etc downstairs to easily make an extra room or two?

Have a study/office/wankroom up stairs. And a gym or something downstairs.

Pic from a resort near Mukdahan. I believe these were less than 150k baht. One large bedroom with one bathroom.

    Nice.

Multiply the size by 4, ie. 4 big rooms 2 bathrooms and 2 small rooms and ya got an okay house for 600k.

My retirement next to an Isaan river moves ever closer.

Really? Have you actually got a proper link? I just went through the plans and didn't find any price listed.

Think you will find they have made a mistake, 1 room shacks of 36 square meters with a Thai bathroom do not cost over 7,000baht per square meter. Also there is no price listed on the plans.

we visited friends in Chanthaburi last week, about 1km from Burapha Uni C'buri campus just inland from Chao Lao beach; they have 16 of these little bungalows on their property rented at 3500 baht each to uni students (2 per unit).

They provide 24hr security (well, a sleeping guard and a gate that he has to open/close at night) and electricity/water is included in the rental. Every one is leased with none due vacant till mid-year, many parents pay a year in advance for a discount.

We rented this one at Chao Lao beach, 500 per night; for a little holiday home idea would be ditch the garage and use it for cooking/tv area

Are they domestic cats in those cages??? That's horrible; what kind of life for the moggy (unless it's to stop the Issan folks from eating them...).
