thanks dr.i watched them build our fish pond my blood pressure went skyhigh so i went away for 1odays still wasnt finished so i paid them off,couldnt imagine watching them build the house.cant drive a bulldozer,dont they ever admit it when their wrong.
they have never heard of the word sorry.
I woudl appreciate some more information about Finestra in Hua Hin. Tried contacting them on e-mail about specification/price.......No response
Top grade Aluminium is a lot cheaper, in my case about 40% of UPVC but just like the Uk getting a firm quote is a bit of a battle --exras are naturally needed-if security is the problem then proper steel bars works well or 2 dogs --1 inside and 1 out that way thet cant poison both of them
I don't recommend the common steel bars (chromium plated):Originally Posted by donald36

^ I put some blacked copper tube bars, inside my downstairs kitchen window, as a temporary measure in London
two kid-thieves came over the back wall, obviously saw the "bars" then spent about an hour trying to break in via a door
do what i did back home go to several UPVC companies in the area and listen to them... Know what openings and how many solid panel you will need i suggest top opening as they can be locked open and no one can get in.
[QUOTE=escaped;1592103]That's not true..
A) WR do not extrude to German standards. WR is now called Deku and they use Thai imitation profiles which is why they are able to undercut their competition by up to 35%.
B) Other companies do import from Europe - Europvc Windows & Doors import their profiles directly from Aluplast's main plant in Germany. They, like most other profile extruding companies, do have other plants across the world, India and Singapore being the closest but Europvc import directly from the German plant and have all of the relevant certifications to prove it.
Having said that, other companies do use European products, produced in plants across Asia. This shouldn't be an issue if they all operate in the same way as Aluplast. Aluplast provide all of the ingredients to their plants worldwide and have strict quality control to ensure that their worldwide plants produce the same quality as their German plant.
The best way to find out the origins of the profiles you are going to buy is to ask your window manufacturer to show you their "certificate of origin", "bill of laden" and other documents that show where their profiles were imported from. This is the only real proof of the quality of the profiles.
