Some house ideas for construction, we are buying 2 houses from Phrae and having them shipped to Chiangmai. We are looking at a few arrangements and we are settling for the 2 above.

im hot its so hot today.......milk was a bad choice!
I prefer the main bedroom building placed at the back in the first plan, but hey, it's your place so good luck with whatever you decide.
Don't want to sound negative but for some unknown reason, it makes me think of a Rambo movie.
Probably the barb wire fence ....
I must say, without being negative, that I'd rather have the bedrooms to the right.
The lounge office to the left over looking the entrance and gardens.
I'm also a bit confused ( nothing new there), which plan are you going for ?
Why would you want to have the bedrooms in a separate building?
why on stilts?
first plan better.
what's the business?
How much for land?
How much for house and square meters house?
Internal plans?
Who designed the house plans?
If it was you, then fairplay 'cos I couldn't do any better.
If it was a pro firm. Why did they use an EtchaSketc?
Personally I would go for the 1st.
2 questions.
What are you going to do with all the space underneath?
Are you going to get flooding off the slope going under the Lounge/kitchen?
Ben, you stated a thread then abandoned it. LIL LIL!
I'd have to say the bedrooms behind the "office" area looks better and would keep anyone sleeping isolated from any noise of cars going in or out. (As in sleeping children during a party or whatever.)
Here's doggy's gaff.
Only 147 sqm but nly 15k English to build, Does me.
Underneath the house could be utilised with many things.
Have a few hammocks tied up for a cool shaded 'chill out" area.
Small parking area.
Storage (wood and shite).
Hammocks and a few of the bamboo 1ft off the ground 6ft square tables with the dodgy woven mats and triangular pillows would go down well for the Thai contingent!
Black diamonds? I shit 'em.
^ Is that a garbage tip outside your front gate or did you pay more for some strange garden modern art ornament doggy?
thanks, its not negative the barb wire is a temporary solution by our neighbour for his allotment our wall will be made of bamboo later.
Im not sure at the moment but the bedrooms at the front will be 50 meters away from road (drawing not to scale) and also screened by plants and trees. I like both but the second one slightly more traditional.
Because we are buying multiple buildings and for simplicity we are building them back like this, the point is to have inside and outside through out the living space, this will be covered by roof.
many thanks!
The reason they are on stilts is because they are traditional Thai teak buildings and we are in Thailand, flooding, air cooling extra space below are some reasons...
Its a house no business as of yet.
how much for land, is not applicable because its on another thread and you should search my dear fellow........ try slowest development thread ever.
The house costs are building 1 (long house) 30 posts 9m x 15m - 245,000 badt
house 2, 80% teak very old, 8m x 12m 185,000 badt
Total - 430,000 badt
no internal plans as of yet, but basically house 1 (long one) is one space kitchen lounge, and the second house has 2 beds 2 bathrooms.
thanks for your interest
The space underneath will be for relaxing, drawing both me and my father-in-law are artists, thats about it creating breezes and cooling the house...
Sorry i thought everyone was being arrested, im in the UK at the moment. thanks for your concerns though!
front gate for entrance, the width is 17.5 meters, sorry not in colour. Mostly concrete with bamboo paneling on wall, and wood on rolling gate.
This is Lanna style, based on a similar gate in Chiangmai we saw and my wife really liked. so here is my basic drawing but i like the simplicity of it!
There is a side doorway for those that walk, leading to a front garden sala.
many thanks
Exactly. If you are going with the stilts raise the entire project so that you can utilize the space below to relax in what could be a sizable and pleasant addition to home space. As it is now, it's too low to even store things, just enough for your pets to be comfy. Just a thought....
My inner cynic is always on alert ….
