So what should the next new thread in here be about? we all know how to build our shophouse with swimming pool etc, so where should we go from there?
Ok topics I aint too strong on, Electrics, I like to steer clear of these as the stuff done in Thailand generally would not be passed in a normal country and I would have electricians from all over the world emailing me to tell me I am a cnut that I will probably be responsible for somebodies death in the near future, yeah some countries are a bit strict on this electric stuff and I really can't be bothered with the emails, hell I don't make the guidelines in this country, reminds me of when I left the UK, I had to get my kitchen sink earthed, I mean did they really think I was gonna put some electrical appliance in my kitchen sink?

So we need a nice easy topic like tileing or something like that, anybody got any suggestions?

I tried to learn how to do the slate or are they stone floors, that is a real skill, they made it look so easy, after a week of trying to chip a piece into the shape I wanted I gave up, I had a cubic meter of the stuff in my place and everyday I would try to work the stuff, just couldn't do it, the marble and granite mighthave to wait as I have never bothered taking the pictures of the back of the stuff, marble and granite cement don't stick to to well, so you got to grind out the back and stick something in there, may get a bit embarrassing when they see the pictures of a couple of nails glued into the back of a marble slab

hmmm, do a thread on sticking up marble and granite and all the secrets will be revealed, builders will be the laughing stock of the world, ok that sounds like a good idea, I would like to add that you don't need hangers or something to stick every tile onto the wall, foked if we are gonna grind out each slab unless you pay us the big dosh, trouble is some of these cnuts,oops I mean customers expect that, I really can't understand why I am not getting more work from this forum, weird that aint it.

Security is something you can never have enough of regardless of where you are, trouble is most people think I am paranoid and over the top in the UK I was a director of a burgular alarm company, it done ok and made a bit of money, but every single customer was someone that had just recently been burgaled, bit late then Me, I would recommend an alarm, although most people dont take much notice so you need an autodialer, security grills, and 2 of those big buggers in my avatar, buildings are really easy to break into, most buildings here in Pattaya would take less than 5 minutes.

What and have you snooping around company house files actually it was 2 companies involved in security, one domestic and one commercial, the domestic company was also a registered firearms dealer, one I was managing director and one company secretary, cant remember which was which just had to sign a load of forms each year.

Naaa, people think they are secure till something bad happens then they are as paranoid as fok, although with all the high tec stuff nowadays there is probably some good money in it, trouble is people don't realise how easy it is to break into a house and always get security after the horse has bolted so to speak.

Yes that used to be the case here in the uk but nowadays people are alot more switched onto security.

I got to admit I am talking about 16 years ago in the UK, here generally the security is crap, I really don't think there is a building in Pattaya that would take me more than 10 minutes to get inside, ok alarms are differant and you just fill up the bell box with expanding foam, yeah ok it may have an autodialler but is that on a land line that comes out of the house? one snip it is gone, and there are a hell of a lot more people better educated about security than me. Me I got the 2 rotties, security grills and a gun, I don't think that is enough security, all internal doors are locked at night.

The reaon I got real paranoid was when 3 friends over a period of one month were all held at gun point in there own homes by Thais, one of them they held a gun to his 2 year old daughters head, this aint something I would be willing to go through, I get a gang trying to break into my bedroom then the first 6 shots just go thru the door and hope for a bit of luck, then reload time and open the door to see what is left.

Generally the wood on a sun deck isn't attacked by termites, they attack all the supports, I for one would be quite happy if all insects were exterminated in the world
