Construction in Thailand Is building in Thailand as bad as it seems? Can properties really be built and fitted out to European standards? Would you like to Build your own house in Phuket, or a swimming pool in Bangkok? Solar water heating in Pattaya? Or maybe you want to build a resort or guesthouse on Koh Samui? If you want to build a luxury house in Thailand then this is the forum for you.

Well! Thanks to the info you guys gave me I managed to get my stream piped and back filled. I got ripped off with some of the materials, pipes, sand, cement, backfill. But the total cost still came out at less than half the price the builder quoted.
Plus using a spade after such a long time did wonders for the old beer belly.

Here's some pic's enjoy!

A success indeed. Looks well done. Now you only have to locate a very long pipe cleaner to remove all the debris when it clogs up.

A few manhole covers spaced along the length of the culvert may be the answer.

The JCB driver was excellent, He also had to work around the trees, leveled it all off, with no wall and no tree damage. JCB cost:6000baht per day. all the job took one and a half days.

For a while in my past life I was a plumbing and drainage inspector and you get a pass from here. Know what you mean as to being on the end of a shovel good for the body and soul.
