We'll see what happens at the meeting tonight. Turns old the old girls son has just got out of the pokey and he could be a fly in the ointment. It's about 2 years now that I've been trying to get "the plot" and nothing will surprise me. (See the various threads)

So is this for JJ ?? or a fictional retired couple etc ?? If for JJ then we should stick to his budget so he can make use of it. If fictional then whatever. JJ should supply a trip to phuket for me...errr the winner though.

Sounds like a good idea, besides a single winner, maybe we can all critique each others plans and even have winners for categories, such as most innovative, best use of money, most sustainable. Just an idea, maybe to ambitious. Is there a deadline for plans?

ok, so unfortuneately Jandajoys land deal has fallen through. so we have to go with the following. Brief- A deisgn that provides a retired couple living in thailand a HOME. it must be max 200sqm internal. external(pool, garage, etc) is required if felt necessary.garage is not included in the 200sqm, but anything else under a roof is. the couple, aged between 50-60, enjoy outdoor life and the open air, they are however not 'sun gods'. they like social evenings, and enjoy the life of living close to a town with some excitement. they have 2 children who were born and live in the UK. requirements- All entrants can provide their idea in any form they like. e.g. paper,CAD,excel, powerpoint, photos to show themes. written explanations must be provided. dimensions are preferable. all entrants must be in by the end of the month. no stolen designs allowed. Budget- 10m baht.land not included. anything is allowed. criteria for judging; architectural innovation, utilization of site, workability of interior plan, suitability to target owner, energy efficiency etc. judges are everyone who wants to judge, votes will be counted. perclusion of design professionals, but they can give c and c's. if someone has difficulty in posting them then they can pass them on to someone who can post pics, via emails/pms etc final entrants in by end of the month, however, you can post the pre-design ideas here for c and cs and then improve on the original design but only twice,so, think carefully. as long as the final design is in at the end of the month. smithson, i like the idea but maybe too complicated for the first one. land plot is max 1600 sqm (1 rai) any elevation/any view.(could be your plot you want to build on) so pretty much an open drawing board except for the initial criteria.i think keeping it simple will allow everyone to participate. good luck everyone, and lets get them juices flowing and the designs coming in.

Sounds easy but believe me….It’s difficult to come up with anything, without the site constraints. Anyway….bewarn now….YOU-WILL-ALL-LOSE …to me MUAHAHAHAHAHA Unless you want to take me out....by letting me be the JUDGE haha ![]()
