Construction in Thailand Is building in Thailand as bad as it seems? Can properties really be built and fitted out to European standards? Would you like to Build your own house in Phuket, or a swimming pool in Bangkok? Solar water heating in Pattaya? Or maybe you want to build a resort or guesthouse on Koh Samui? If you want to build a luxury house in Thailand then this is the forum for you.

New Roof Panels, Chang or Oranit

Finished building a new roof structure, painted all the metal, now it's time to buy the roof panels, and get them on. So far I have found that the roof panels made by Chang have worked very well. We have put them on other roofs, and they have retained their color, and are still intact after a few years. Have had no problem with them. I have used some other ones, forgot the name of them, but they are all bleached out due to the sun. Went shopping around for panels, and the Chang are going for 59Baht apiece, 1.20M long. A lady in one shop whom we have done some purchasing from, and seems reliable, based on previous transactions, suggested ORANIT roof panels. She said that is what she used on her house, and they are 10 Baht cheaper then Chang. She said they are good quality and retain their color also. Have any of you used ORANIT panels, and how satisfied are you with these panels?
