I have a 1000L plastic water tank (I should say HAD a water tank) It sits on a metal frame on top of four 3m concrete posts. The metal frame rotted through and dropped to the ground together with the plactic water tank (what a mess!). Anyway! I have had a quote for supply and fit a new tank for 15000k Baht. Am I being ripped off? it seems a bit steep to me. I'm not in Thailand at present, so I'm negotiating the price by phone and photos.

Thanks Blackgang. They told me 12000k baht for the tank and 3k baht for making a new platform frame and fitting including valve and new pipe were necessary. So it looks like a good price.

I have a 1,100 Ltr stainless steel tank and it is handy when the power cuts off and we can't use the pumps, gives me enough water for about 2 days. Also most of the time it warms up nicely during the day so i almost never use the water heater. I got one of those liquid level sensors for about 150 Baht cos the ball valve was causing the pump to switch on and off all the time.
