| here is the moon over a couple of weeks, wish i knew how to take this pic properly as it would have been spectacular... ![]() quite amazing that you can see the craters of the moon with my little camera lens.... ![]() the bungalow taking shape with numerous 'as you go' changes.... we are putting river stone on the posts and slate on the walls, now just when you think they cannot fuck up a simple job, you leave em alone for a minute....well 2 days really....and you return to get this sample of their work. I had only ever seen 2 ways of laying slate, flat with rough edges and flat with edges cut and trimmed......never like this. Original thought upon sight was to rip it off and start again. I gently wandered over, perused the scene and over some time kinda liked it, sort of novue artistic abstract kind of work. Guaranteed to be none like it in the area, so we are going with it....call me crazy, call me ....

| Some more piccies..... This chicken roaster we found, same same as the one JJ described up north.....might try a lamb in it... These flowers are stunning, growing on a trallice at a flower shop where we buy some stuff, bought 2 and will grow on front of bungalow... I am going to attempt to make a bath out of stone, got the price from the quarry delivered, just need a hammer and chisel.....not for plantation but, different project.... We have wild mushrooms also, dunno if magic or not.....hope so Not sure if this is the Tung tree or not, dont think so, similar nut and also poisonious and white scented flower, but leaves look different.... latest pic of the shack..... Our tiny little cauliflowers.... Our tiny little broccoli.... Our carrots, not sure how tiny yet.... |

| speaking of blacks.....by crikey my missus would put them abo's to shame in the Todd river bed. On saturday night we found just before dinner that the gas had run out and the local store had none to replace, go back and give missus the bad news and expect her to say, ok lets go out for dinner. So, I wander off on the farm to look like i am doing something and return 30 minutes or so later and she has fired up the charcoal cooker and produced a 4 course meal and rice. I would have to say that all of the 4 dishes were possibly the tastiest i have had for a long time and she is an awesome cook all the time, 2 were new and of our local produce and it was simply superb and amazing considering the cooking method....awesome. |

| I don't think there would be any problem, mine has already stated that she misses yours.....I assume she meant wife. The kids would find it fun I know. Rather stay overnight though if it's all the same to you. Is that the southern site as opposed to your Northern abode?.....it's only about 2 hours from BKK isn't it?

| Thanks for all the pics, great thread. Looking forward to further developments. As a Bangkok bound, condo dwelling, nature loving but surrounded by concrete and pollution farang, I'd love to do what you are doing. Maybe one day. I guess I need to marry first. |
