    Krua D&G is opening soon...

After many years of planning and arguing, Kru D&G is opening soon. Will it survive or fold? Stayed tuned for the details on how to build and hopefully maintain an eating establishment.

Actually they are the real McCoy, made out of wood. Having lived in Thailand for over 10 years this is the first time I have been able to get my hands on any. In all honesty it really wasn't me who found them, but a local big wig.

In the past I have seen piles of them, but was always told, NO.

Burmese teak railway sleepers are in big demand through much of Asia, they make furniture out of them. No doubt a dwindling resource.

Anyhow, if the ambience of the restaurant matches that delightful shot HB- and the D & G resort- you deserve every success. I'll certainly stay tuned.
