commonly used for cleaning PVC just not here. But still it is available at plumbing stores Siam brand I think it was that I last purchased some time ago, more available in Bangkok than outlying provinces.. But find a store that specializes more in Plumbing..

Acetone is a solvent used in big volume in the food packaging printing industry, highly explosive in contact to fire or sparks !

if you know one in that business ask him for a drop of it..

As other option you could use Trychlorethylene, i think that one can be found in near any Pharmacy, powerfull cleaner as well...

Sorry no known brand, in Switzerland quite difficult to receive it, must say why you need it or have a doctor paper.

I just know that it removes stains on dresses quite well, may be less attacking the fibers on dress then acetone.

Why it is sold in Pharmacy, dunno as well !

In Uk we used to be able to buy small bottles Tetrachloroethylene.
It was sold as dry cleaning fluid.
Yeah ok, I know it's a liquid but it evaporates fast.

It is also used in the motor industry as a degreasant
It is non-inflammable

not the same at all

Acetone is the organic compound with the formula OC(CH3)2.

Trychloroethylene C2H3Cl3 or CH3CCl3

Yep, it is a bit nasty.
Skin contact for even short times will give you skin problems and inhaling the fumes will make you ill and prolonged exposure will fuck up your liver and kidneys

Carbon Tetrachloride was like that

and if you had been drinking, the effect was multiplied, esp wrt the liver

they used to use it for cleaning wax pencil off film, where I worked

Acetone, easy peasy. The missus buys it 250ml at a time in the pharmacy for removing her nail polish. Pharmacy in question is in the basement of Zeer Rangsit, but I'm sure it's available everywhere.
