| Oh Fuk | Thanks Navyd you must have had the balls for twins though, so that is good enough just remembered to mention, one of our esteemed members here has bought a copy of my plans (worth every baht, I hope); it will be interesting to know what he thinks of them Last edited by DrAndy : 05-03-2009 at 10:43 AM. |

| Oh Fuk | so, more on the mini-saga up on the roo'oof the pool is sitting ignored and sulking ![]() meanwhile, the roof really is ready for tiling; they have done it all ![]() this will be the "master" bathroom, "ensuite" to our bedroom and "dressing room" oh dear, those architects do take it all seriously! ![]() these are the stairs to the rooftop. Now you can walk right up to the top like a normal person rather than scrambling up rickety ladders ![]() and this is the big guest bedroom, which has a decent sized balcony and those concertina doors that were offloaded a couple of days ago. The balcony is at the end where the pile of blocks is; the other two balconies are small and just for wooden doors to open on to ![]() just another view of the same ![]() The Moongate into the kitchen is coming on slowly but surely ![]()

| Oh Fuk | enough bandying; Ok it has a Moongate and a couple of wagonwheels, that doesn't make it Disneyland, honest the place is big enough to take a whimsy or two so, here we have what will be the services for the wooden house, which will adjoin this part. There is a small (bed?)room and a bathroom. These also have an inside door between them ![]() Ok fans, here is the moongate arch. The kitchen seems quite dark at the moment, which may be OK for Hobbits, but once the scaffolding and netting go, it will be bright enough the two bar windows are looking for a home ![]() the main bedroom has now got the balconies in use, the frames for the double shutters being in ![]() and the roof is 90% tiled and the space underneath is looking good ![]() It should be cool enough, what with the height and any breeze ![]() we glanced across the road and spotted this guy stealing mangoes from the unoccupied building; they are still green and very small. Bit like him really ![]() maybe he is a hobbit waiting for a chance to move in whatever, he seems quite brave. He had a big motosy and tattoos ![]() |

| Oh Fuk | Back from a couple of days in the ricefields it is a bit hotter in the city, but work progresses some progress! ![]() the ground floor bedroom and bathroom; these will actually be part of the wooden house, not accessible from the main house. Both are quite small to discourage guests from staying too long. The bathroom will also be the toilet for the courtyard ![]() the electricmen have started putting in the conduit. It can be a problem when two different workforces merge, but this lot seems good with each other ![]() Lots of new QCON walls; the guest bedroom on the left is looking nice. The room on the right has windows at the side; the wooden house will cover that blank wall ![]() another view of the guest bedrooms and bathroom ![]() meanwhile, up on the roof, they are building the parapet walls (QCON not necessary) ![]() damn, it is hot |

| Oh Fuk | Thought I had better see what was going on they are putting up lots of bamboo scaffold, for rendering the outside ![]() They have built the edges of the arches up, including the top profile The shape of the arches has come from a nearby temple..wait and see ![]() a quick internal shot; this shows the main bedroom; the arch goes through to the dressing room and then the bathroom ![]() It all seems to be coming on OK, slowly but surely it was nice standing outside and getting a little idea of what is being created |

| Oh Fuk | we are lucky to have a good builder and an architect who can make changes without drama even then, problems arise and have to be solved, so small headaches always occur in any project We are trying to get the cable company to come round and put in the TV stuff, but they are useless. If they don't come within the next week or so, the walls will be rendered and the cabling will then have to be cut in.... now it is raining a bit, so the neighbours are getting our water runoff from the roof. We will put guttering later but they are not 100% happy.... etc |

| Oh Fuk | Ok Norton and DD, maybe I will get someone to do that, although WEtv do work in building sites....when you can get them to! trouble is, I want to run the coax to 5 different locations, so it will need the cable in also...too complex for just the conduit, I think. I will find out and thanks BexarCS, it looks bigger than it is, so no palace |
