    a daughter's room...

As we own 50 sq.wa., our estate here in BKK is not large but fairly average. Regardless, I go tired of our daughter spending the nights with us, hence the need for an additional bedloom. Here in the backyard is were we start. One of the main problems that I have with our home is the neighboor's home that is seen in the background. It is only about 3met from our house. All of the other sides of our home that keep them from hearing me screaming are acceptable.

Since, i am an Amerikan and well versed on everything our initial budget was B200,000. Maybe B250,000...

The pilings arrive. Bear in mind the only thing I knew about piles was it had something to do that made one's butt sore...

I hope that you first sought & obtained planning permission before embarking on your building project.

Actually, yes. Well, I didnt butt the contractor had to doo all of the paperwork with the mooban, ask permission from the neighbors, watch the security guards and keep the locals from borrowing shit.

As you can see I doo my part. This is really a show that you must watch. All the workers will balance themselves on the wooden beam and sing some Issan chant while pounding their feet to the music. I have to admit the damn system works. Took less than 2 hours to drive the pilings home!

Yeah right they did! And I suppose you checked all the paperwork independently? Man, they're gonna tell you to tear it down once it's built, just you wait & see.

Basically BKK is a swamp. So the pilings have to be done in order for the house to float and remain stable.
