Thanks. It's taken ages to get to this stage. I've tried playing it as safe as possible on tenure, design, waiting for permission etc.
Design means it should be a great home + give my parents an apartment annexe to use too. I'm doing interior to hit rental market. There isn't (as far as I can see) a really smart villa with good private pool available for short term rental in this area. Not relying on it, but it would be great if it could wash its face when I'm not using it.
I'm having to push the boat out on choice of materials etc. Marble for pool, 40 cm walls and stuff like that. Saw so many cheaply built places with 10 or 20 cm walls that I figured may be worth taking the concept of "uber cool pad" as far as I could. The architect seems keen to showcase what he can do. I've left alot of conceptual stuff at his total discretion, with our input limited to number of rooms and use of space only.
