using copper sulphate to get rid of green algae in a swimming pool

Has anyone used copper sulfate to get rid of algae in their swimming pool, we have a ongoing problem with algae in phuket and i would like to give a go instead of using expensive chemicals which never seem to get rid of the algae completely
Does anyone know how much to put in a pool 11 metre X 7 metre X 1.5 metre deep
Many thanks to anyone who can help me

Have you tried bunging 2.5 gallons of household bleach in? Or even 5 gallons?

Yes, all the time, especially in the springtime is useful. And a bit chlorine (inorganic) within 2 - 3 days will help as well.
