Where to buy wood in Sisaket province

Looking for hardwood to build a deck,cd cabinets etc Found one store that wanted 760 Baht for a 4meter plank 8in x3/4 in. Almost as high as buying in the US. Does anyone know of any indie stores in south Sisaket province that carries wood?

You might be surprised - and not only you - that in the Land of Teak the wood is quite expensive. That's why Thailand is importing timber, keeping quite a high rank of US hardwood export.

Beside illegal teak (or very expensive when not illegal) there is almost no local timber for commercial use.
