Emergency trip to Thailand to kick out a nutter

My wife and I bought a house in the village on our last trip over last January and agreed to let the old owner stay on until their new place was ready. It seemed like an reasonable plan at the time as we really wanted to close the deal on this place. Well 5 months on it turned a bit sour when we found out she was stripping the place bare. Luckily it was discovered when the wife's family was over at the house meeting with the wall contractor. After a sleepless night I thought a trip over to sort it out was in order. This will be part travel and construction as were having loads of stuff done.

This is the picture that set it off.

So that's what prompted our trip over.

Look on the bright side...at least david’s48 hour party people hadn’t moved in.

And jprr thinks he’s a wildcat with his fishing, gardening and drone flying retirement.

He’s got a lot to learn.

    sorry mate

I feel something's been lost in translation here. I'd like to hear the other guy's side of the story. Surely the previous owner is stripping the place because she thinks you haven't paid her fully. That's mental

It's all worked out don't have to worry. Thanks for the concern though our long term plan was to tear all that stuff down.

Yeah the contract was a bit vague. Luckily my wife cousin is a local policeman and she got a bit greedy and took some trees as well and that's how we got her out. Like I said it was a bit of a drag but all that stuff was going anyway.

These pics jump ahead a bit but here's what our plan with these buildings to start filling in the pond.

So during all this the wall contractor had started three sides of the place had a unfinished wall and the long side behind the old garage had no wall so that section is new. I'm real happy with the result on the old unfinished sections although its a bit wavy in spots.

This is the back corner showing an unfinished section.

And out toward the front the new part underway.

The 3 traffic cones are gone.

Has the lady in question found long distance romance on the internet with a cyclist from Stoke perchance?

Is this house in Surin and did they leave behind kitchen tiles with their own ecosystem?

Despite the old owner being a nutter it all ended ok we got her out early and no one was really sore about it all. I've been coming to Thailand long enough to know anything can happen. The most important thing for use was to close the deal and get the Chanote signed over while we were here last time. I think they regretted selling the place so that may have prompted her bizarre thinking. Oh well its all over now.

Here are some guys trying to get out all the fish before we filled in the pond.

First they had to clear out all the vegetation.

There's more cones around that annex than on a police road stop.

No Jeff, I don't buy into that as the annex has no solid walls so any breeze will do the trick instead. The winner of todays TD 'Why' competition will get a well deserved green from me. Good luck.
