    Someone Peeing on my stake!!!

    Hi again,
Well got the termite hill issue settled and I am now finished building a septic tank container tank... have pictures but don't know how to upload...

Going off topic here. So... here is the situation:

My neighbor is building a house and she is sending her grey water straight onto the dirt road in front of my land. I am at a lower level than her so her holy shite will be flowing into my water table and when there is rain... right onto my land.

    And here is my question:
    1. Does Thai law allow (in rural areas where there is no sewage) for people to dump their crap anywhere they want?

If not who should I contact about the problem? ... the village chief???

Neighbor hasn't got her address yet so she will have to have her house approved eventually...

    2. How do I kill the feces in the egg?

    Regards,

    Paul

I love 6 word answers... they assume the obvious without effort...

Sorry Davis for the sarcasm but do you think I would be asking advice if this answer of yours would solve anything?

She has already covered up her concrete septic tanks and has hidden the dastardly deed very well. If I had not monitored her progress I would not know what she did... Does anyone think she will smile and say, "OK... I will rip out the tiles because what I did is wrong... solly... my bad..."
    Next...

Any real solutions that answer my two previous question?

Guys... what the hell... I used to think this place was OK'ish... if all I'm going to get is jack ass responses then I might as well not come and ask for advice. If this place is just as big a cesspit as my neighbor's sewer then fook it..

I guess your ignorance shows in your responses that are attempts at humor...

Outside the tessabaan basically there aren't really any laws or rules or building codes. I mean there are probably some rules or regs maybe but who the hell would you call? Police wont do anything. Government wont care. Poo-Yai wont care either. If you go raising hell about it, as per Thainess, you are considered the asshole.

Running off grey water (showers, sinks, washing machine) into a ditch is totally common practice. Not actual shit, just the showers & washing machine. I could go out and take pics of several village homes that are doing it right now.

My current house, there is piping around the place and the grey water goes into the ditch in front of the village. Probably about 10 other homes doing the same.

Its bullshit. I agree. But they wont see it like that. Thainess.

Did you talk to the lady? See if it can be agreed to pipe the grey water to another area, not just in front of your house.

FYI this grey water deal isnt even a huge thing and you're getting real worked up.

Just get a truck load of dirt/gravel and put in a slight raise and send the gray water ect. back their way.

There is a difference between gray water and black water. Gray water is shower, sink, washing machine or any other basic dirty water except for sewage that contains urine and feces. Living in the village, I drain most of my gray water away from my house about a quarter of the way down my four rai. My sewage empties into the typical Thai septic made of circular cement rings and is capped.

If you are talking about gray water that is just dirty water, just let it go. It sounds more like you are talking more about black water, in which case I agree with Davis and others saying you should talk to the lady, or maybe your wife should talk to her with you staying completely out of it.

Even if there are regulations regarding this issue, you should have learned by now that Thais don't give a crap about regulations. What they do care about is what has been done before or what has been agreed upon. Why would you want to throw a regulation or law in the ladies face and alienate her forever?

    navynine is right .

A very Thai solution too .

Bung a pile of soil , sand , rubble , crap in the way so you are blocking the flow and let it build up and flow back to her .

Thank you rickschoppers... it is her black water... I got my terminology wrong and I humbly apologize.

Going into details of whether I talked to her or not is superfluous. We tried to get the electricity pole from the gvt in at shared cost and she tried to screw us by telling us we had to put it on our land... (that is just in a nutshell summary)

So, Davis if I didn't go into the details of whether I talked to her or not is kind of beyond the point in this thread. To make it clear, YES we talked to her about other things and she showed her colors. Intransigent beatch... typical Thai macho woman who looks for the cheapest way out.

Her 'black water empties onto the "gvt road" in front of my soi and because I am at a lower level than her, her black water will find its way onto my land.

Thanks again rickschoppers, the wife is going to 'obotor' today to sort it out.

Sorry if I am a bit curt, just tired of trying to get answers and getting the run around whether it be here or on other well known Thai forums.

    Regards,

    Paul

It might help to remember that this fora, and others like it are discussion forums, NOT information services.

Nobody is obligated to help you in any way.

People can actually give a lot of help, but mainly if you do not come across as a bit of a douche. You are the one asking for information, it might be worth remembering that.

I don't, but anyone who has enough disregard for other people's health and knowingly discards their shite in a way that can cause dysentery in order to save a few bucks will just smile, nod and think "fook you welly much!" and the way she tried to hide it makes it clear she will not do anything unless forced to.

I actually pity her (in a very limited way) because at my land, and the surrounding area, the water table is extremely high--ground level actually and she dug five cesspits with five rings each and they still are overflowing and her toilet, shower and sink aren't even connected yet, thus her unsound quick fix.

She knows that if she doesn't do this she will have to do what I did (build a very expensive concrete pit and manage her land so she can have a soakaway area/drainage field) and she really doesn't have enough land.

OK, so know one else has any other ideas? Please share if ever you had a problem like mine before and actually found a solution. Other than that, thanks.

    Regards,

    Paul

Part and parcel of a forum. You get those that want to help and then you get those that want to make you look a cnut. Keep going you'll get there in the end.

I don't think some one asking have you tried talking to her is making anyone look like a cnut. Obvious first question to be honest.

Are you sure you are correct in thinking that its actual shit and not grey water?

Why the fuck wont you go talk to the god damn woman if she's dumping human fucking waste right in front of your property?

Are you saying that she dug out 5 septic tanks of 5 rings each and all of them are now basically shallow wells & totally full of water?

    But yours are not?

Anyway whatever. Seem like youve already made up your mind and want to try and complain to the government body, and thus making the issue even more huge.

Its not at all. Certainly the first resort to peaceful conflict resolution is the land of Thainess. A polite face to face and if that fails, then go to town and really piss them off.

Yes I am. When I saw that I built a 2 meter deep by 2.4 meter wide water proof concrete pit... I then bought a 2000 liter DOS plastic septic tank which I am going to put into the concrete pit and cover with sand. I am now looking into how to build a leach field in order to dispose of any waste water. BTW, the reason I built a concrete pit is to make sure the water pressure coming from under ground would not pop out my tank.

Finally, if I offended anyone because it seems as though I did not follow the first suggestion on this thread I apologize. But for fooks sake if there were any way to talk to this lady I would have, so leave this alone.

THERE IS NO NEGOTIATING WITH HER

Were there any possible peaceful solutions would I be asking for advice here?

You should talk to the headman. He should organize a solution for the problem. Try and keep calm and don't do anything to elevate the situation because that will only make solving the problem more difficult.
