Home design prices

What is a reasonable price to pay for a home design? I want a pre-existing off-the-shelf design that appears in many of the Thai home design books. In other words, NOT a custom order job. In the Smile Homes website, http://www.smilehomes.com/ they list design prices as a percentage of the value of the house. That's bullshit. Just wondering if this is the industry standard. The design I want is similar to the pic posted below. For a 3.2M home the design would cost 240,000 (7.5%). Ahhhhh, no.

So how much should someone expect to pay for the design of a modest home like the one pictured? Is 7% of the total value outrageous or am I a tightwad?

30k baht would probably be about right.
