What Paint is required for car parking office space?

It seems we need parking slots and lines for carparking as most think they are driving a big rig!

At present the space is concrete but i was looking to tidy the outside area up and make the spaces obvious, but what paint is needed for outdoors that is durable?

Additionally, would the surface need to be smooth cement, glass finish? At present it is quite a dusty top surface.

    Thanks

These chaps seem to stock what you need:

Traffic paint Traffic paint manufacturers TIS. 415-2541 ? Barrier Safety Sign Traffic sign Guardrail Road marking Traffic cone

Alternatively, you could try Cromwell, I had a look in their catalogue, but couldn't find paint for markings... but if you emailed/called them, they might know a supplier near to you or order it in for you:

    ^Cheers, looking now.

I want to paint the whole surface grey, similar to a factory floor with white spacing lines. Looking at their site i should imagine they do it.

Shell seal-krete was the other I just recalled.

I think you may find lines are no deterrent to bright sensitive drunks
Most businesses use bikes, trees in planters , metal barriers etc
A nice heavy tire, filled and a bush may work for you, but such ladies charge.
Good luck amigo I'll paint it for free if your in c rai to keep my hand in but I have to confess I'm middle of the road

Problem is with our clients. We have spaces for 5 cars. 3 run down the side of the building and I can guarantee the first person parks at the front blocking the rear 2 spaces.

Have you ever seen a Thai trying to reverse park?

2 front spaces are taken up by one parking in the middle.

We bought this place because parking at our previous location was a battle with neighboring businesses. Yet, trying to get clients to consider others is a little difficult!

indeed all part of the free entertainment.

If you employ a receptionist/cleaner/handyman could they do courtesy parking?

We do have a receptionist but we often have 20 clients with 10 cars parked in various spots. I think if we make it obvious (hoping) they will at least use some sense.

Generally if the receptionist spots them before things get busy she will ask them to move. Wife has spoken to the people mentioned by the poster above. Coming on Tuesday to give us a quote.

    Sorted.

Have you ever seen a Thai reverse into a concrete support in places like Central when empty? That is fucking hilarious!

It's probably a lot cheaper to hire a young lady to take care of the "parking", the visiting business men and yourself on those long hot evenings.

It could even boost your business revenue, if so you may need additional "parking" attendants.

Someone mentioned speed hump strips which might be an option.

Well, if the outermost parking spot blocks the other two then I would also had taken that one.
    I hate being park blocked..

Having experienced finding a parking space difficult I was surprised that even if found there was no guarantee of not being blocked in.

However to my surprise the solution which apparently is generally practised is to leave your steering at the straight ahead position and not to apply the handbrake. This allows the blocked car's owner to push the blocker car away to allow egress.

Only works on flat areas it seems.
