Hello....
It seems to me that you got a chick from a poor family. It's usually a waste of your money, however if you want to offer 'namjai' it's good to do some for a family member. Buy the materials he need, that's it. Do NOT give any cash, it seems to be the guy is a drunk. Do not want to be involved with the build, every Thai want to do their own thing. (they used to believe farangs are stupid and Thai are ubermensch).
SURE.... I have it all wrong....
Good Luck
No, but sometimes it's advisable to read the thread before responding.Originally Posted by Johannes Black

Because it's a little bit sensible and he doesn't have a good track record on that !!
Here's where his link sent me ..........
............. which is very nice !
Sadly I think it's likely to be more than my budget of 12 000 Baht .... but it's a pleasant design .
There's also a useful floorplan - though I have already started my own plan as none of these gibberingly unhelpful people have tried.
It's a start !!
Time for a cheesey muffin.

Sorry creppy ....... I didn't answer did I ?
I should have made clear that she has come into a patch of dirt about 200 metres away.
Her own land would be worth maybe 2 million altogether and he would be entitled to half .
It will never be turned into cash but still - if we make a dwelling on this other patch he'll bugger off and give up his 50%.
Meaning his noisy ' mates ' can sod off over there and drink themselves noisily paralysed at a distance - instead of staggering around here and pissing all over Missy's best flip flops.

I have read it.... it's about a design.... but what is there to design if you only spent 10k baht? Try to buy secondhand stuff, it's everywhere for sale, because Thai are collectors. Find a sink, find doors, roof panels and perhaps a lock.
Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff fff......... I say no more.
I don't think upmarket hiso items like a sink are required, an empty paint bucket and a plastic ladle will be more than adequate.
OK ..............
Just as I put up a floorplan of my own devising I see Bettyboo is saying that next time he would avoid having a pillar in the middle of the room .
And I have 4 !
Well it's ( another ) start .

Good planning, he'll appreciate your foresight & practical mind.Originally Posted by Wasp
It's just what's needed for the clothes drying line, make sure there are plenty of wires & nails protruding at different height to hang various items on from discarded fishing nets, worn motocy tires, broken headlamps and other valuables which might get stolen outside.
When I come back to my Floorplan I see a fault . Or 12 .
But it seems sensible ( to me ) to move those pillars to places where walls meet .
Like this ..............
This leaves the columns looking like this ........
Now how to lose a column or two from the middle ?
Wasp
Building walls between those columns would certainly simplify things.
AND .......you would create another room. A toilet maybe.
I'm surprised to see you here splitlid .
Isn't this about 40 million Baht below your work levels ?
You're not one of those toilet fiends are you ?

All it needs is a python in the toilet and jobs a goodun

Micro houses are VERY MUCH IN VOGUE at the moment, however, the PRICES ARE MACRO....
Here is a Floor Plan LINK to sheer design bliss (and lots of cash too). MY www is toooooo slooowwwwwww to open it and explore it fully.

Bloody Yuppies.
Stick to the breeze blocks (vertical alignment) and no footings or concrete floor. Dirt is easy to keep clean.
Some comments:
Do you really need all those columns, get rid of 25%. You can always add more later if required/the roof collapses.
Some windows might be nice. I've seen many constructed of old beer bottles. The light comes through the bottles. In addition if he ever gets desperate he can always knock them out and cash them in.
move the wash room right hand wall out to the column line. Unless the small corner is for his "best porcelain" cabinet.
move the bedroom wall down to the column line.
More seriously you might want a door in the wall to enable your tenant to get into thin very thin "kitchen".
one could omit the, windows, cupboards, work tops and carpets if considered to be a waste of the limited budget.
Don't forget to bang a hole through the kitchen external wall to allow the waste to reach the compost heap outside.
The electric outlet is an optional extra.
A smaller hole is also required for the hosepipe to fill the automatic washing machine and is always appreciated by the home help.

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
Thank you for the thoughts OhOh.
Access to the kitchen is simply enter the house and turn Left .
Open-plan living. The Pink coloring just shows the work surfaces.
Those pillars ...... I was thinking to disappear 2 of them instead of making the Washroom and bedrooms bigger .......
But this gives me a 4 metre stretch from the Left-hand Post to ' A ' and then another 4 metres to the Right .
Is that OK ?
Ten minutes AFTER I replied to you your photos appeared in your Post ☝.
Very nice . More work than he deserves.

Many years a go a winning motor racing team manager boasted that nothing was fixed unless it broke. He did win a few championships and became a millionaire. Something to emulate, eh what?Originally Posted by Wasp

Bit tricky getting him through the 2" hole.
I think in this case the proper title is " Surfaces where you could do some work if ever it crosses your indolence to do so " .....
And the 4 metre stretch ? Well a while ago I was asking how far apart you could place supporting columns and I never really got clear answers .
Just show-offs telling me they had 8 metre spans in their 100 sq metre bedrooms and a nice old guy called Koman talking about his scrotum all the time.
Are you able to answer a serious thing OhOh ?
For cheapness purposes the roof will be one single sloping surface .
What angle do you set a slope for a reasonable ( not torrential ) run-off ?
Wasp
Get some of that 9M "C" section steel, smash on some 9M lengths of tin, and you will have 500mm overhang all round.
Perfect!
