Taking a break from earwiggy ...
my house build is coming on well (very well, thanks to an excellent builder) but I am now looking for a UPVC window and door supplier, preferably in Udon or Khon Kaen. All the windows are custom sizes, so the standard sizes from HomePro, etc, aren't a possibility.
I originally had a manufacturer / supplier in Loei, but for various reasons they're no longer in the frame.
I am ideally looking for any information about UPVC window suppliers and fitters in Udon and Khon Kaen as my house is in Loei, so I prefer a local supplier in case there are any breakages or problems later - its a long way to /from Bangkok or Pattaya if just a handle needs replacing.
I would also appreciate any feedback from anyone who's had UPVC windows fitted and has any views on who's good and who's bad.
So far I've had quotes from the following and found the following information about them on various forums:
Hoffen, Bangkok. The cheapest, by a considerable margin. Not particularly good reports on forums, and a little wary of only a 90 day guarantee. (quote: 568k).
Windsor, Udon. Windsor windows are fitted by PD House and seem the basic 'standard' in Thailand. Big company. Also an agent / supplier in Khon Kaen I haven't been to yet. (quote: 742k).
Deku, Pattaya. Similar price to Windsor. Mixed reviews. (quote: 750k).
ARC (Veka), Pattaya. Mixed reviews, mainly over 'attitude' some customers didn't appreciate. (quote: 845k).
Trade UPVC, Pattaya: Good reviews, expensive. (quote: 930k).
Hevta, Samutsongkram: No information, expensive. (quote: 930k).
Anybody know anything ???
