    unblock drain?

Not under the sink plastic stuff but further down hidden under the concrete somewhere. As usual it will be rice and food that i often say not to put down the sink. I tried poking with a flexi rod as far as poss and drain cleaner but no good. Do plumbers here come and unblock with a pressure gun? we are in Bkk, edge of.

    ^Called soda fai in Thai.

Put maybe 1/2 to a cup in the drain with water behind. Be careful with it, it burns the skin.

Pour a large bottle of coke down the drain and let it sit overnight. Flush with hot water in the morning once clog has been eaten away.

Coke concentrate (Used in the mixes in pubs and fast food joints etc) is classified as Class 8 Corrosive Haz. in the transport industry. Nice stuff!

Good luck. I was skeptical at first, but Coke worked on mine when nothing else did. Also got my kids to stop drinking Coke.

Most Thai hardware shops have grease busting enzyme powder , in a green packet with a picture of a grease trap on the packet. mix it with say 2l or water and pour down.

I hate it when I get visitors staying from my wife's village. Always guaranteed after a meal they'll put soups and sauces in the rubbish bin and stick food stuff down the sink.

I too would've suggested Coke. Once had a 1919 Harley engine that I was restoring which had both pistons seized in the cylinders. Coke got one piston freed but for the other had to use another tactic.

Had a blockage under the sink many years ago and used caustic soda. Good stuff. Not only did it get rid of the blockage but also got rid of the soft plastic drainage pipe. So handle with care.

Caustic soda is shite. Once it make a hole the water flushes away without getting rid of the cause of the blockage. Best results are got with a plunger if 100mm diameter pipe or bigger.

I just noticed you said it was the pipe from your sink. Therefore why the fook haven't you got one of these, or similar, fitted?

Dead rat that went in there to eat the rice and a dead snake that went in there to eat the dead rat?

Can you get access to the downstream side? Stick a hose pipe up?

    Agree.

In the UK I also use a heavy duty wet vac to vacuum out things like cement / mortar mix debris
