    Well !!!

When I woke up this morning I didn't anticipate that by the end of the day I'd have a sticky Thread .

Actually if it means the Thread is going to stay at the top of the page I think I'd like it Unstuck please mods .

    Please .

Meanwhile .... this Thread depends on photos and there has not been a lot of building getting completed so I'm going to pad this out .... err I mean I'm going to enhance this Thread ... putting in something I always thought would be interesting .
    Stages of Construction.

    Here's the first one ....

Well ..... those pictures from Loy Toy certainly got a reaction .

    You do realise it's 4 different homes - don't you ?

But I think this is the one that has made you say ' Wow ' .

Loy Toy said about this ........ " This is the first house that I built and still is our favourite.
Bought the ground floor as a shell construction and finished it off.
    "

    Doesn't look like that anymore.

No more klong and more covered space.

Terry 57 can put a comparison picture up.

Well ..... I enjoy reading the Construction Threads too .

And when I open the page I want to see a few new posts there so I can sip my coffee and have something new to read .
I don't like to see the same thread sitting there all the time --- especially my own !

I didn't really know what sticky meant . If I can keep adding builds it will appear up there anyway and you'll know there's something new to see .
Otherwise you might open it and find you've wasted your time and then you'll go and kick your parrot.

Makes sense to me - but thank you terence.

Wasp and all others who posted their builds. WELL DONE!

It was the construction threads that brought me to the TD Forum.

Well, I don't live in Thailand yet and have not built yet, so I guess I qualify there.

I enjoy this thread immensely FWIW, very much appreciate the time that goes into it. My wife and I sit together and scroll thru the pics from time to time, whereas she does not have the patience to read an actual build thread. But I can go off and read more about builds that, say, are in a style similar to what we intend or are on land similar to where we will build. So yes, a handy visual index of build threads.

I'm a fan of ltnt's house - love the clean lines and big verandahs. Wiffey gets a giggle out of the gold carriage outside SteveFarang's place, but wonders who has to do the cleaning inside that mansion.

But the best part of this thread? I am playing around with my own design and it is nice to know that no matter how hard I try, our house will not be the ugliest one out there.

    I must say LT,

I really love the look of the Old Gaff even though the new version is a lot easier to look after.

Like the look of it as well but as I cannot climb stairs or even steps I would have to give it a swerve and go for something like Nortens gaff.
All though his is a bit too country for me, I prefer to be in the city, but not silom its too BKK for me so udon is where I am happy with my girls and the trouble & strife.

    Unhappy

I've had to think about that because it was done over several visits and we put a wall all around the land .
    I'd be surprised if I spent more than 400 000 Baht .

It's all just cosmetic really .
The old house is still there inside the new one but with new floors , new roof , new ceilings , new walls ........ Hang On !! .... maybe I spent more .

    I'm so rich I don't care .
