    House Repairs

Has anyone had any dealings with Land and Houses? We bought a house just over a year ago from them in Baan Nantawan near Phutthamontthon and were very happy with the workmanship and general finish. Until we had a leak in our downstairs bathroom about 2 months ago, they had to dig up a water pipe underneath the floor tiles. Now we are still waiting for the job to be completed. Every time I see the foreman he says he is coming tomorrow, so I stay at home and he never comes. When he does come to the house he just walks straight in without ringing the bell, knocking or even saying hello.

they are a bit slow; but will try and get it done before the warranty expires; all you can do is keep calling
seems to be standard approach for them

    Are they on Facebook?
If so, do a bit of complaining on there.
I had a big problem with Samsung and got it sorted after 1 year, only because I bombarded their FB page.

Is the remaining work worth the stress ?

If it's going to cost say under 30 000 to get someone there tomorrow why not write to them and say you're getting someone in and sending them the bill ?

If they don't respond then do that and hassle them for repayment .

Of course if it's a much greater cost it's different .
But this is Thailand and who is seriously going to help you enforce a Warranty ?

    Sadly.

It's difficult enough and stressful enough in England !!!

    Welcome to TD Thaidi

As you probably know by now an Englishmans home is his castle.

In Tieland this kinda privacy / safety zone whatever you call it dose,nt seem to exist in the homes , but I would think applies more to the land area.

I know exactly how you feel and it pisses me off to
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
