Sorry, not quite sure what you mean. I posted a link to the thread, which tells the story of the build from sitting around drinking beers and drawing a plan to the completed product. I'll get a pic of how it looks now, all Thai'd out. This one was pretty much for the outlaws to live in and a paper asset for our kid(s), we're looking at a new build from scratch on some land we bought that we might actually live in. Prices have gone through the roof though from when we did the deal for this build a few years back.

All I mean is I've put the name on the photo and put it with others . But it means I have the same photo there twice .

I don't really want that .

Stevefarang's photo is there 3 times and though it's a great house I just would like one picture of each build .
Crepitas is also there twice now so I asked the same thing .
If you stored your image in say Photobucket and you delete it there it will go from the Thread .

In an ideal situation I would end up with just one long listing of photos with the name embedded in the picture .
Easy enough for folks to find the original Thread . The photos just remind people of what others have achieved .
And it's the same with crepitas's dawn . A lovely photo of a beautiful morning ....but I'd just like the housebuilds and I'd like to see them all together .......and just once .

Thanks, now I want to do some modelling myself! Haven't done that since university 5 years ago but I remember it to be very fun to do. Unfortunately I've got to wait until tomorrow to buy myself some plastic sheet

Did you ever end up building that gigantic castle scale 1:1?

WASP: how does one take out a pic after edit expired..?

Like the collage idea,more intersting than just a vanilla pic of a building....maybe that should be your objective? Jungle/paddy to concrete,then and now,tears , beers etc?
If the thread is just a gallery perhaps removing replies without relevant pics would be good..again not sure how you would edit a thread though.

Hello Crepitas .

You're right . I didn't want this Thread to have any chat at all in it . But people come in with comments and it's always interesting - like talking with you - but yes I wish I could take out all the comments and just have a Gallery .
And if people ask me something - what can I do ?

I would IDEALLY like to have just the one single Post with a Gallery of all the photos .
For a while I was able to Edit and Add but of course that edit function stops . Don't know why .

I've written to the Administrator to ask if I can just have indefinite EDIT on that first Post to make the Gallery . We'll see .

Yes but that collage takes an hour to do . And Smithson's build deserves it . But I don't want the photo to replace the Thread . So I don't want a collage with maybe 4 shots of every construction . Smithson was just a bit special . Maybe hillbilly later .... and Roobarb .
I wanted a Gallery that you could just roll down to remind yourself of who did what design .
From there I think folks would say " Oh yes .... that was brilliant " and go back to the Thread for interior shots and build shots ..

Your original photo is in your computer . You must have sent it to Photobucket or some other storage . I use Photobucket .
If you go to Photobucket ( or wherever you sent it to ) and Delete it there it will be deleted from your Posting .
{ Bettyboo taught me this stuff }.
If you look in Post #1 on this Thread you'll see a photo has gone .
That was in Photobucket and I deleted it there because I could no longer delete here .

I love Teakdoor - but I'm finding a couple of faults ..... like this inability to Edit later .

Just in case you don't know - when you press "Quote" to type a response you can delete the photos from your response .
I usually delete just about everything and leave only the essential few words to show what I'm replying to .
This reply to you is an example of what I'm saying.
I deleted your words except for those you can now see highlighted in green .
Your other words were deleted and you should do the same with any photos or the same photos just keep coming back and annoying Marmite .

After the painting disaster 3 years ago, where workers painted my whole room (in and outside) pink instead of dark orange, I never let any Thai paint my stuff.

It appears WASP wants an overview of all the builds and no chit-chat. You need to get admin to set up a static page for you to edit so you can get everything nice and neat. Kind of like this one...

Well ............ I thought people would enjoy just rolling down a whole string of the different builds that they've been reading about .

And it gets too 'bitty' if it gets taken over with chit-chat .

Maybe I'm wrong about that . But there's loads of current , very funny chit-chat already there on the actual construction threads .

If that's the way to go Marm I'll follow your advice and delete all the pictures from here and make an unread static page instead .

I really like this thread concept. The chit chat, while entertaining at times, could make this a 100 page thread with 10 -15k posts and who wants to filter through 100 pages?

I like the idea of the gallery as a sticky and only pics can be added. The collage is really a nice touch but should be left to the owner. Not all may want to show their personal life on the internet for a host of reasons.

will experiment with deleting URL location of photo not sure it will work as I just drag and dropped..we'll see.
