Greetings Aircut - I've been a visitor to TeakDoor for a very long time but never registered. However, after discovering this thread I was inspired to join up and make my first post.

I think you've done a truly amazing job with your pond works and admire your determination to embark on such a large task, it's looking great.
I believe I know this plot, we almost bought it a couple of years ago, actually camped overnight once, beautiful sunrise. For a variety of reasons we didn't proceed, not least of which is I thought it was too big for our needs. Pleased you resolved the aqueduct issue, that had me scratching my head coming up with various "over the top" solutions and a few under neath too.

We eventually settled on a smaller 4 rai place over in Mae On, which is proving to be about the right size.

I will follow with keen interest.

    All the best,
    Andy

Hi Aircut, can you forward contact details? We have 4 rai over in Mae On that is ready for phase 2 of our groundworks, tidy up pond perimeter and excavate 50 metre stream and some grading works.

I don't have enough posts to include a link or images but I do have a thread over at the not so hot thai house forum, The Hole Story.

    Cheers

pinto peanut - thua lisong tao ( I think)

It think it looks really great, I'm looking to do the same for my place. We currently have 2 metre high weeds around our pond that will need to be removed first.

Alas, the foreigner mob cannot appreciate [nor connected regarding] the whys and wherefores of such a positive transformation project, unless there's a "purpose" in which they can comprehend.
