OK, here are some pics of the half finished sand wash. It will look a lot better when completed and acid washed, I hope.

Tuesday and Wednesday are clear the Beirut themed garden up ready for my parents arrival Wednesday night.

I would post pictures but life's too short.

Given the speed you've got the pool in I'm sure you still have time to get this in before the parents arrive. No need to wait until February...

Joking apart, it's looking fantastic Kurgen. Well done!

About 350 baht a square m, but obviously the back fill and concrete was extra.

If you look at how I had the car port and around the house done with quarry tiles and sand was, that was 350psm for sand ash and 350 psm for the tiles.

Ok, a couple of pics of the finished and acid washed sand wash.

I guess the project is going to wind down now until February when I'm planning on having a guest room and out door toilet built at the bottom of t5he garden

Mind you, there's the wall hung shower being fitted tomorrow and the fence to keep the kids and dogs away from the pool being fitted in about 10 days time, so maybe a couple of more pics to come. At some point I'll get the grass areas re-soiled and re-turfed too.

All in all, not a bad show for 2 weeks work, IMHO.

Once again, I'd like to thank Asher and his team, including RatchetKnackers, for their all round professionalism.

Just as a reminder, this was my garden 2 weeks ago.

It was in a area that was flooded 2 years ago as there are water marks half way up the pump room.
They empty the pool, then the Thai Engineers cut down the middle of the pool to let the water from the out side of the into the pool.
This is Thai engineering at work.

    Hello again TD'ers.

No that I've stopped celebrating new year and all the oldies, animals and drop outs have left (at last) it's time to start the guest room build.

I've noticed that most people on TD are experts in many chosen fields and never make mistakes so I'm asking for advice on design and build.

Here is the plot to be built on. It's14.5m X 5.3m

    and here is my 'plan'.

In the photo you can see the small slab in the RH corner. This is for the generator I bought for power outs. This will now be re done on the LHS next to the pump room.
The rear toilet will be for the guest room and the front one to be used as a toilet and shower for the pool.
The only reason I've put the toilets that side is to keep them close to the tank(s), which will go on the LHS.
I'm not sure which way round to put the lounge and bedroom yet so I'm asking for advice. Please feel free o change the whole 'design' around as you see fit.

    Bring it on.

The pump room is only 1.5m so I have allowed 50mm as access. I will probably replace the ally with a block built one and incorporate he genny in it too.
