A basic blue plastic tank is around the two thousand mark or just over. The tank you showed in the picture as said is a septic tank.

OK, just to clear things up. We picked the tank from a catalog of water tanks. My wife wanted to have a water tank buried in the ground, which is why it looks like a septic tank to some of you (or a hand grenade to me LOL). But it is a fresh water tank.
I've just talked with the wife to re-confirm.
If you want to discuss this further, why don't we do it on my house building thread ?
Now, back to the original topic.
^ It still a tank used for pooing in.
the screw you loosened was the point for "priming the pump." If it was full then no priming problem.
The regulating solenoid is that square box on the right. Open it up and check for any damage or corrosion? Check the connections and if you can remove and take to shop for checking. New one's are cheap if required.
The more I listen to your posters it appears like the "supply," side of your system is inconsistent and as advised the addition of a holding tank would stop your flow problems. New pumps don't just die. Mine a 250 model has been functioning for over 9 years now and has been very reliable.
Be sure to install a "float valve," in line of your internal supply to your tank. Be sure to also install a block valve at the up-stream side as well as the downstream side of the tank supply. While at it install another valve at the discharge side of the pump as well to keep the house lines fully charged if you need to remove the pump for any reason.
I always shut my water off if I'm leaving the house for extended periods of time. If a line breaks or someone does something while I'm out of town then I don't have to worry about loosing thousands of gallons of water out on the ground as has happened once before. The bill is shocking!
Good luck.
Thanks for the good advice. I took out the plug at the bottom of the tank and drained most of the water out which cured it so it might have been air in the system. Anyway i'll keep the rest of the info on here for the future.
Still no supply tank???
no, it's on the list of things to do though.
How longs that list, just asking?Originally Posted by xanax
