Sliding mosquito doors for house
I'm looking for advice, it's been a bit of a drama.
I got some ornamental/security screen doors with wire mess for the front for approx 8,000 baht put in. (2 doors on hinges)
These work great, in order to allow a cross breeze I ordered some doors for the rear of the house. The rear has 4 glass doors and folder concertina style outwards.
The first quote said he'd create similar concertina mousquito doors folding inwards. I told him to piss off.
The second quote was 12,000 baht for aluminum sliding doors, unfortunately I said yes without checking every fine detail. The numpty put in 2 giant sliding doors to cover the 4 doors space (sorry I don't recall the exact measurements right now, can add later). The doors could not slide all the way open, so now have the space was permanently blocked ie you could only open 2 glass doors, not 4... Also he used 1 inch x 1 inch thick square frames. The mosquito netting was a fibre mesh stuck to a light aluminum strip glued to this frame, it fell off within a week.
I made him remove this monstrosity and refused to pay.
I got a sample frame yesterday. Four sliding doors (like I've asked all along). No mosquito netting and it looks as if it is a security screen door. The price is now 70,000 baht.
Am I expecting too much?
What would a simple set of tracked, sliding mosquito screen doors (I don't need security as my back courtyard has 20 foot high fences.).
