Some wood fell off the back of a truck.

Mai Pradu I'm told. Motorbike for scale, about 5 to 7ft long. another half a dozen similar. Anyone want to hazard what there worth and their best use in a build?

Best use for Mai Pradu is doors windows and frames.
Better than teak because it expands/contracts less

Nice looking timber. Looks really thick. Pradu is hard. We used it for both counter tops and and stair treads.

I don't want to offend you, but why don't you notify the police about he "found," wood? Some poor builder/owner is really in the shit over the loss no doubt.

Even more so because Mai Pradu is damn expensive (in the village they charge 30.000THB for a medium sized tree).

You may have problem using hand tool. Hard piece of timber but durable against termites (not the sapwood). Excellent for flooring even for external deckings or bench. Some here call this false Rosewood.

Seems a shame to cut it up for moldings, and I already have floor. So bar, countertops it will be.

Pretty, but I am not having any internal stairs..

Does anyone know what this sort of wood is worth?
Assuming you could find similar chunks in a shop.

Hang on to it until Easter, it will be worth a lot more then when demand for huge wooden crosses reaches its peak.
